The
significance of greeting “Jay Mata Ki-Jay Guruwar Ki” (heil
to mother goddess, Heil to Master)
The
culture of salutation in Indian subcontinent is running since ancient time.
When there were no countries formed around the world, the villagers and
dwellers in India used to say “Ram-Ram” in salutation to each other which
exists as a tradition until today. The
salutation is the informer to sweet ties between the people and on the other
hand, it is the first attempt in meetings between individuals and in starting
the conversation. This is the introduction between the processes within the
individuals; however, salutation is also the identification of tradition,
values, culture and sacraments established among different communities since
ancient time.
In
contrast to other countries, the culture of salutation in Indian culture is
rare and unique. This is not only the exhortation nor is it only the formality.
In a real picture, this is human responsibility, this is human religion and
this is the holy karma which is helpful in regeneration and awakening of human
beings.
There is
one sloka in Sanskrit:
''अभिवादनशीलस्य नित्यं
वृद्धोपसेविन:।
चत्वारि तस्य
वर्धन्ते आयुर्धर्मो
यशो बलम्।।''
abhivaadanasheelasy
nityan vrddhopasevin:.
chatvaari
tasy vardhante aayurdharmo yasho balam..
Meaning
Those
who has the nature of salutation, always serves those who are enlightened,
awake, educated; the age, enlightenment, fame and strength, those four
qualities of these people grows eternally.
This is the
reason for touching the feet as a greeting to elderly people by young ones from
the beginning in Indian families. In meetings with friends and with
acquaintances, the use of holy words is in custom. This is also a matter of
fact that with time different civilizations ruled in India which in turn
introduced and amalgamated their tradition of salutation in Indian society
which holds a firm position till this date. The Arabic greeting, “As-salamu
alaykum” and “Hello-Hi” from English society are the best example of greetings
from foreign society in Indian culture. The greetings from Arab civilization is
limited to muslims only. However, the greeting from English culture was able to
hold a position in global society through the imperialized globalized market. As
a result, many Indian community accepting English as modernization use English
greetings.
In consideration,
English greeting is limited to words “hi and hello” only and they do have no
significance at all. However, the greetings like Ram-Ram, Jay shree Krishna,
Hari Om etc. reflects the divine culture of Indian subcontinent. These holy
greetings renders the presence, significance and importance of great divine
authority, the divine power from where the mankind is guided. These are the auspicious
words which Indian civilization is using since ancient time instead of good
morning, good night and hi hello. However, in the recent years, the ancient
Indian greetings are replaced by hi-hello, good morning and good night, which
in fact is harrowing.
In these
odd circumstances, the greeting introduced by his holiness Shree Shaktiputra Ji
Maharaj, the change maker of this era, has rejuvenated the glorious Indian
tradition once again. It is immense joyous that the members of Bhagwati Manav
kalyan Sangthan, a social, religious and spiritual organization formed by Shree
Shaktiputra ji Maharaj and millions of disciples of him are using the greeting,”jay
mata ki-jay guruwar ki” in society. It might be in phone call, social media or
in personal meetings, this greeting is in use extensively.
Jay mata
ki(heil to mother goddess) is the holy sentence which belongs to the origin of
everything, Jagadamba. We undertake the name of her in greetings telling Maa (Mother).
With this, we surrender everything onto her on the one hand and on the other,
we denote the perpetual presence of her. By greeting Jay Guruwar Ki (Heil to Master), we establish
fidelity to our Guru in our conscience and we imperialize the master form of
knowledge into society.
Therefore,
to protect our culture and civilization, it is important to leave the greetings
originated from meaningless word formation and have to make the perpetual
nature of greeting through jay mata ki jay guruwar ki. The importance of
parents is always the same to whichever extend of modernization we reach.
Similarly, the holy mother, and holy Guru (Master) are the main coordinator and
director of our soul; before, now, after and always. This is the eternal truth.
By greeting Jay mata ki jay guruwar ki; we are not only glorifying our family,
race, clan and society. In a real picture are glorifying, promoting and conserving
the ancient Indian culture because of which Indian subcontinent was called
Master of the world once.
For this,
please greet Jay mata ki jay guruwar ki to anyone whom you meet in your
everyday life through any means. As it is not only the formal word, standing as
a greeting word, it is the proof of existence of our self. It is a matter of
fame, not shame as it is the picture of our ancient Indian religious and
spiritual tradition.
